Shahid Afridi responds to atrocities against Muslims in Palestine, India

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi Friday decried the atrocities of the Israeli forces committed against Palestinians at Masjid Al Aqsa and the problems that Muslims are facing in India.

At least 152 Palestinians were injured when Israeli riot police raided Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound on Friday, the latest outbreak in a recent upsurge of violence that has raised fears of a slide back to wider conflict.

While Muslims in several Indian states were on edge after mobs came out in processions, making hate speeches and attacking their properties, according to Al Jazeera.

In response, the star cricketer said he was devastated to see the clips of the hate and atrocities happening against Muslims at Al Aqsa mosque, which was a place of worship.

“Similarly demolishing Muslim family homes in India is inhumane. My heart goes out to our brothers and sisters,” Afridi said on his Twitter handle.
